Six Sigma Handbook Third Edition Giveaway

By / in Miscellaneous /

As the author of the Six Sigma Handbook, my publisher gives me a few free copies of the new editions. To celebrate the third edition coming out this fall, I’m going to autograph and give away my free copies. All you need to do to enter is to register on this site and leave a comment on this post. Starting on the day I receive my complementary copies from McGraw-Hill, I will pick a winner at random, and contact them through email (make sure your account has a valid email to have a chance to win.) From there you will have seven calendar days to respond with a valid USPS shipping address to claim your prize, a personally signed copy of the new Third Edition of The Six Sigma Handbook! If no response is received by that time, a new winner will be selected. If winners consent, we will publish their names on the site as comments to this posting.

Note to Paul Keller, coauthor of the third edition: you’re not eligible!

For legal reasons, this contest is only open to shipping addresses in the United States.

    Hi Tom,

I am a Master Black Belt and teach continuous improvement methods as part of a rotating school program here in Orange County, CA for business. As such, my teaching program needs resources badly; obviously, I use a lot of my own materials that I have accrued over the last 10-15 years since my certifications. However, I really need some more new books and materials on Kaizen, LSS, and CI in general

I’d really love to have your new book to use in my program.

I am looking at accelerating DFSS with methods that will prove the value of variation prediction during design and development. No more will folks have to wait until production. Much valuable work has historically gone undervalued and forgotten, simply because the time lag between engineering design and production implementation.

Tolerance and variation prediction supports Lean Six Sigma fully. I look forward to reading this book too.

My work has been in the after-sales product support services business (sometimes called the after-market).

This business area is ripe for application of 6S tools as the support business is often not considered as a profit center in some firms. Yet service often returns a higher gross profit than product sales in the same firm.

I am looking forward to seeing the material in the Third Edition as it applies to the product service business.

Hi Tom – Congratulations on the new edition. The reason I would like to be selected to receive a free copy of this new publiction is becuse I have read everything I can get my hands on regarding six sigma and its methods. Some of my employers have pursued implementing six sigma processes while others have not. It is my hope that my next employer will embrace six sigma. As I am currently unemployed, I will not be able to afford to purchase your new edition which I regret as you are considered to be the foremost expert on this topic. I am hopeful that my next position will place me in a position where I may influence the company in this direction, but I will need to have as much information as possible to direct the implementtion of the six sigma processes in the future.

    Hi Tom,
I am in search of a go-to reference for Six Sigma and everyone I talk to you recommends your handbook. I am currently unemployed and have reviewed the handbook online but can not purchase at this time. Thank you.

I have so many papers and pamphlets and pieces of information. A handbook is the right tool to have for projects and studying for Black Belt certification.

Thank you for the great thought of sharing. Though I am from India, I would love to have this book. I have been a student of six-sigma for the last 6 yrs and would love to enrich my knowledge further by having this handbook. If not a hard copy, a soft copy can help too !!

I have been following the progress and the sustainability of 6-Sigma since Dr. Mikel introduced the methodology at Ford Motor Company in 2000. Your revision to the Handbook is timely to reinforce the benefits at a time there are many questions on its value. Questions are being asked by companies on sustaining the methodology over time. Your Handbook becomes a good source to assist management make sound decisions.

I would like a copy to prepare me to answer those questions.
